“UPDATE 03/25/2020: For those who have not heard, our office is and has been officially closed for a few weeks, including this next week beginning March 30th, until further notice. This is due to the recommendations of the CDC, ADA, and the Maryland State Dental Board as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Patients whose appointments will be affected will be notified by phone. Please know we will be going above and beyond to meet the rescheduling needs of our patients.

We will still be meeting the needs of our patients’ dental emergencies, many of which can be handled remotely. Those which can’t be handled remotely will be managed in the office on a case-by-case basis.

If you believe you have a true dental emergency, you can contact our office and follow the prompts on the voicemail.

We apologize deeply for the inconvenience this has caused, but please know that we feel that this is the best way for us to help protect our patients, staff, and the community.

The safety of our patients, their families, and our staff is a priority at Bethesda Dental Specialties.  As many of you are aware, there are now documented cases of COVID-19 in Maryland. In order to protect the health of our patients and staff, we will be implementing screenings for all patients 48 hours in advance via telephone call or text message.
We will also be screening patients at check-in.  An example of our screening protocol is below.
If you can answer YES to any of the questions below, we kindly ask that you reschedule your appointment. There will be no cancellation fee associated with these rescheduled visits.
*Has the patient had a fever within the past 14 days?
*Has the patient experienced a recent onset of respiratory problems, such as coughing or difficulty breathing within the past 14 days?
*Has any family member, within the past 14 days, traveled to an area with documented COVID-19 transmission?
*Has any family member come into contact with a patient with confirmed COVID- 19 infection within the past 14 days?
As always, we will continue to do our part with proper sterilization techniques and strict infection control protocols.  We will also be removing toys and magazines  from the waiting room and disinfecting commonly touched areas (such as doorknobs and pens) with high frequency.
